So I know it’s important for diabetics to wear a medical alert bracelet, especially those with type 1 because they take insulin daily so they’re more likely to become hypoglycemic. What about people with type 2? Should they wear a medical alert bracelet too?
Type 2 Diabetics tend to have other diseases as well, and also tend to be on more medications.
It is EXTREMELY important that the Type 2 get a Medic-Alert bracelet. The bracelet should ALSO indicate any other medical conditions like heart disease or transplants. This would help the EMTs to know that the patient could be taking blood thinners, or some drugs that might interact with any emergency measures.
