John Sjolund was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age three. He has since lived and been treated for this disease on four continents, uses Humalog pens and Lantus Insulin and maintains a consistent average HBA1C value of between four and six.

His diabetes has never held him back from chasing his dreams. John has completed the longest ski race - the Vasalopet in Sweden - in the world, cycled 80 kilometers in the Cape Argus in South Africa, is an active kick-boxer and is currently training to complete the New York City marathon.

At age 27, John is managing his disease, not the other way around. He is living life at full speed – come along for the ride.
